Welcome to the Petal Story website. By accessing this website and engaging our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, “Petal Story”, “we”, “our” and “us” refers to Petal Story Floral Studio, and “you” or “the client” refers to any person, client, visitor, or user engaging with our website or booking our services.
Petal Story is a studio florist specialising in weddings and events. We create bespoke floral designs tailored to each celebration.
These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between Petal Story and the client and apply to all event and wedding floral services provided by us. By accepting a quote, paying a deposit, or engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
QUOTES
Following an initial consultation (phone, virtual, or in person), Petal Story will provide a written estimate outlining the proposed floral designs and services.
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
Dates cannot be held without a confirmed booking.
If a quote is not accepted within 30 days, it will expire and may be automatically removed from our system.
All quotes are based on the information provided at the time of consultation and are subject to change if event details change.
BOOKING CONFIRMATION
Your event date is secured only once:
The quote has been accepted
These Terms & Conditions have been agreed to
The required 40% non-refundable deposit has been received
For events under $1,500, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Until the deposit has been received, Petal Story reserves the right to book other events on the same date.
PAYMENT TERMS
For events over $1,500, payments are structured as follows:
40% non-refundable deposit required to secure the booking
Remaining 60% balance due 6 weeks prior to the event date
Final payment must be received before any floral work or installation takes place. Payments can be made via EFT / direct deposit.
CHANGES TO YOUR QUOTE
Changes to your floral order must be made in writing via email.
Minimum 30 days’ notice is required for any design or quantity adjustments.
The total value of the quote cannot be reduced once the booking is confirmed.
Increases may be accommodated depending on availability and scheduling.
EVENT CANCELLATIONS
All cancellations must be made in writing via email.
The initial 40% deposit is strictly non-refundable, as it secures your event date and covers time spent on consultation, planning, and design.
If an event is cancelled after the final balance has been paid (within 6 weeks of the event), all payments made are non-refundable.
EVENT RESCHEDULING
Written notice must be provided at least 3 months prior to the event date.
Rescheduling is subject to availability.
If we are unavailable on the new date, the booking will be treated as a cancellation and the deposit will remain non-refundable.
If rescheduling is accommodated, the deposit is transferred to the new date, and a revised quote will be issued if necessary.
SEASONAL AVAILABILITY & SUBSTITUTIONS
Flowers are seasonal and natural; availability cannot be guaranteed.
Petal Story reserves the right to substitute flowers and foliage with varieties of equal or greater value while maintaining the agreed style and colour palette.
Refunds will not be given for minor variations in flower type or shade.
HIRED ITEMS & BOND
Any vases, vessels, structures, candles, or styling pieces supplied by Petal Story remain the property of Petal Story and are provided on a hire-only basis, unless otherwise purchased.
A hire bond may be required for events that include hired items.
This bond will be refunded once all items are returned in their original condition.
Lost, broken, or damaged items will be deducted from the bond, and additional charges may apply.
INSTALLATIONS & VENUE PERMISSIONS
Clients must ensure the venue permits any installations, arches, or large-scale designs.
Petal Story cannot be held liable if work cannot be completed due to venue restrictions or lack of permissions.
We reserve the right to decline installation on unsafe or unstable structures.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Petal Story reserves the right to photograph all floral designs and installations for marketing purposes.
Photographer credits will be included where applicable.
Any images provided by your photographer may be used with permission for promotional purposes.
CREATIVE DESIGN FREEDOM
Petal Story specialises in artistic floral design. While we collaborate with clients on colour palettes and overall aesthetics, specific flower varieties cannot be guaranteed. Petal Story retains creative control over the final designs to ensure the highest quality and beauty.
MINIMUM EVENT SPEND
Petal Story specialises in weddings and events. We reserve the right to decline bookings that do not meet our minimum spend requirements.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
It is the client’s responsibility to provide accurate event details, including venue information, setup times, and schedules.
Petal Story is not liable for delays or additional costs arising from incorrect or incomplete information.
EVENT INTERFERENCE
Petal Story cannot be held responsible for damage to floral installations caused by guests, venue staff, or other vendors during the event. Hired items and large installations must not be moved or altered without Petal Story permission.
EXTREME WEATHER
Safety is our priority. We follow government guidance for extreme weather, including bushfires, floods, storms, or heat.
Petal Story is not liable for floral damage caused by weather conditions once installed.
FORCE MAJEURE
Petal Story shall not be liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, transport disruptions, or supplier failures.
